Introducing postMash
After several requests to make a “pageMash for posts” I’ve finally got round to actually making it!! It’s similar to some of the early versions of pageMash as posts do not have a parenting structure, it only needs to allow for linear re-ordering.
Head over to the postMash page if you’re interested.

I’m a fan:) Thanks for PostMash! After a couple of attempts fumbling through the Index.php I figured it out (just had to really read the instructions – duh) and it is working!
Thanks for giving me the control I so desperately desire. Works beautifully.

This plug-in is JUST what I want but I’m a Wordpress newbie and my PHP is basic, limited to simple webpage/server stuff. Could you look at this code as I installed it and see why I can’t drag and drop the Post titles in Post Mash? This is int the index.php file:
# set(’orderby’, ‘menu_order’);
# $wp_query->set(’order’, ‘ASC’);
# $wp_query->get_posts();
# ?>
etc.
Thanks for your time,
Mike in Florida

@Rebecca Sweinhagen:
Hi Rebecca. You’re better than I am. Joel seems to be busy, so thought maybe you could help.
I stuck the code where I THOUGHT it belonged but nada. Could you send me the .php file you created that works. I feel dumb! I don’t know if you can access my email here. It’s gcarter1@cfl.rr.com
Thanks, Mike

I am using both of your plug-ins, the postmash and the pagemash in my blog. Thanks a lot! This is something so essential and Wordpress should build it in!
